New framework agreement for LAN Network Infrastructure with the City of Bruges, valued at up to €50 million
Inetum, a leading European digital services provider, is strengthening its partnership with the City of Bruges once again.
Under the ICT Infrastructure framework agreement, Inetum has now been awarded the contract for the LAN Network Infrastructure lot. This includes both the purchase and implementation of local area network infrastructure (LAN) and represents a potential value of €50 million over a six-year period.
Late last year, the City of Bruges extended its collaboration with Inetum for software licenses, followed by two consultancy assignments for system administration and cybersecurity. Earlier this year, Inetum added the Servers & Storage lot for the delivery and support of server and storage solutions. With this new LAN Network Infrastructure contract, the series is further expanded: it is the fifth agreement the City of Bruges has signed with Inetum since the framework agreements were opened to the market.
Modern and secure Network Infrastructure
As part of the LAN Network Infrastructure lot, Inetum will provide delivery, implementation, and support for LAN infrastructure, including network switches and management software, as well as monitoring and management tools, built-in utilities, implementation guidance, and operational setup.
Within the framework agreement, Inetum serves as a partner for Groep Brugge, local authorities across Flanders, and several designated organizations. Like previous agreements, these institutions gain an efficient way to modernize their network architecture. The upgraded LAN infrastructure enhances the reliability, scalability, and security of their local networks and supports the ongoing digitalization of their services.
“With this contract, we take another step forward in the digital transformation of Bruges and other Flemish local authorities,” says Thomas Breuer, General Manager of Inetum Belgium. “A strong and secure network is the foundation of every modern organization. By modernizing LAN network infrastructure, we give public institutions greater reliability and control over their IT environment. This project builds on our previous collaborations with the City of Bruges and once again underscores our role as an end-to-end strategic partner for the full digital transformation of public sector organizations. Our long-term commitment remains the same: making digital impact faster, easier, and for the good of all.”
